With two very different cars, a heavy duty 4x4 and a city zipper hatchback we wanted a little sumthin' sumthin' that was hard core but also looked good. During our entire Tasmanian adventure, this mount was with us on our journey every day and on every road and I gotta say, the Ram Mount is pretty solid! The twist-lock base that is regarded as one of the strongest suction cups in the world and its X-Grip cradle, is not only strong but flexible. Not just limited to cars though, I have one of these in my boat and it handles the roughest conditions like a pro - and I must admit I do hammer it a bit.
